JENNI RAE
DJAs a child of a DJ and former Blues Radio Host. Jenni has had a very versatile musical upbringing to say the least. By adding her oh so very fundamental musical ingredients such as Soul, R&B, Rap and House to the counter, she keeps her ingredients simmering with experimental, frequencies and productions from around the globe expanding familiar melodies with some pinches of electronic Beats and sonorous Edits. She keeps the oven heated with her never ending love for Hip Hop by blending familiar sounds and layering them with a sweet, exciting glacier of modern tunes. Jenni is a 80s synth lover girl as well sweet & rough rap bar fanatic.
Her goal is to keep the temperature right, the vibrations familiar and surprises ecstatic. She aims to share fundaments of her African American Heritage. By bringing not just the rhythm but also the blues of her ancestry through lyrical and melodic cornerstones. Essential pieces that intensely shaped her upbringing. Shining the spotlight on to the often overlooked facets of black womanhood in Germany.
Jenni has had the pleasure to play live in multiple cities around Germany, including a memorable night at Boiler Room Frankfurt and HÖR – Berlin. She also recorded Mixtapes for New Yorks – Soul in the Horn Channel and Rinse.France Radio based in Paris.
Jenni is a member of GG VYBE. A Frankfurt based female DJ Collective. Creating events and building new structures within the Club Culture.
