HEAVY FEELINGS w/ PERSIAN EMPIRE, TANO JACKSON, MO.GYAH, SMIKI & PARISSA

08/05/2026 King Georg

Heavy Feelings operates as an ongoing practice between club, listening, and artistic exchange. At its core is the creation of a space where music functions as a connective force ; shaped by community, consistency, and an open understanding of sound. Across events, collaborations, and continuously evolving formats, a structure emerges that extends beyond the moment, building long-term connections between international and local artists.

This edition carries that movement forward: a line-up that embodies shared history while translating it into the present.

LIVE

With PERSIAN EMPIRE, a key member of the extended Heavy Feelings family returns to the stage. As an independent artist and Mannheim based producer, he deliberately operates outside of conventional production frameworks, creating his own platform through PRRRRRRR RECORDS. His work follows a distinct and self-defined language: free from fixed forms and expectations, positioning him among the more progressive producer voices in Germany.

His connection to Heavy Feelings goes back to their first collaboration in 2023 and was further deepened during the Sampling Residency at MARKK Hamburg in 2024.

TANO JACKSON
Multi-disciplinary artists´current project is being developed in close collaboration with Heavy Feelings as a platform from concept to execution and release. This marks an important step: the first time Heavy Feelings not only curates, but actively operates as a creative production structure.

His first single, BROOKLY BITCH (produced by Die Ottos), is already out, with the next release scheduled for May 1st.

DJ SETS

MO.GYAH builds on this. Behind the project is Rotterdam-based DJ, creative producer, and researcher Jack D. Mensah, whose work connects scenes, geographies, and cultural contexts. His sets move across global sound traditions and their contemporary reinterpretations.

SMIKI, resident and in-house producer, has continuously refined his sound. Rooted in R&B and hip-hop, his sets expand into UK garage, jungle, and breakbeat — where rhythm, contrast, and precise timing create a distinct dynamic.

PARISSA, founder and curator of Heavy Feelings as well as a dedicated vinyl selecta, plays exclusively on vinyl, following an almost ritualistic approach to selection. Her sets draw from diasporic sound traditions and an intuitive handling of genre and medium: her vinyl sets unfold organically, guided by the moment.
