BAMINA
DJRaised in a music-loving environment, BAMINA developed an early connection to sound, shaped by a wide spectrum of influences; also deeply rooted in her Caribbean background from Bermuda. Based in Cologne and formerly one half of the DJ duo Careless, she is now carving out her own path as a solo DJ, both artistically and sonically.
Moving intuitively between House, UKG, Batida and Baile Funk, her sets are driven less by rigid genre boundaries and more by emotion, energy and instinct. Alongside her DJ work, she co-runs Thursdaze, an underground party series in Cologne dedicated to artists and music they genuinely love.
BAMINA is not only a recurring participant of our shared radio show, but also a long-time companion of HEAVY FEELINGS. Watching her current evolution feels especially exciting: her sound is shifting, expanding and becoming even more personal. What we love about her is exactly this sense of progression, the way her artistic development becomes part of her persona, constantly unfolding through every set she plays.
